Samael need no introduction to the world of extreme metal. Born in 1988 in a Swiss Alpine bunker, brothers Vorphalack and Xytraguptor forged a legacy that helped define multiple extreme metal sub-genres: black metal with Worship Him (1991), symphonic black metal with Ceremony of Opposites (1994), and industrial metal with Passage (1996). With nearly 1,000 concerts across Europe, Japan, Latin America and North America, and festival appearances at Wacken, Dynamo and Summer Breeze, this is a band whose live show carries decades of intensity. In 2026, Samael returned with new singles Hidden Empire and Hail to the Sun, hinting at a new chapter ahead. Opening the night, Godblood are one of Cyprus's earliest black metal names, formed in Nicosia in 1990, with a 2026 EP on the horizon.
