Η Λυσιστράτη ηγείται μιας ομάδας γυναικών που αποφασίζουν να αρνηθούν τον έρωτα ως μέσο πίεσης για την παύση του πολέμου, δείχνοντας πως η ερωτική συνεύρεση και η συμφιλίωση είναι αδιάρρηκτα συνδεδεμένες.
