Scroll down for English version 👇 Με αφορμή την Παγκόσμια Ημέρα της Γυναίκας, η Lumiere Contemporary Art Gallery παρουσιάζει την ομαδική έκθεση CHROMA by Her, φέρνοντας κοντά δέκα γυναίκες καλλιτέχνιδες από τις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες, τη Σουηδία, τον Λίβανο, τη Ρωσία και την Αγγλία, οι οποίες ζουν και εργάζονται στην Κύπρο. Η έκθεση είναι αφιερωμένη αποκλειστικά σε γυναίκες δημιουργούς των οποίων η καλλιτεχνική πρακτική έχει ρίζες στο κυπριακό τοπίο, παρά τις διαφορετικές πολιτισμικές τους αφετηρίες. Ο τίτλος Chroma, προερχόμενος από την ελληνική λέξη «χρώμα», λειτουργεί ως οπτικό και εννοιολογικό πλαίσιο. Το χρώμα μετατρέπεται σε μεταφορά της πολυφωνίας, της ταυτότητας και της συναισθηματικής φόρτισης, αποκαλύπτοντας τόσο την ατομικότητα όσο και τα σημεία σύγκλισης. Μέσα από ζωγραφική και σύγχρονες καλλιτεχνικές πρακτικές, η έκθεση ξεδιπλώνει ένα φάσμα προσεγγίσεων που διαμορφώνονται από τη γυναικεία εμπειρία, τη μετανάστευση, τη μνήμη και τον τόπο. Η CHROMA by Her αποτελεί μια πράξη αναγνώρισης και συμπερίληψης, φωτίζοντας τη συμβολή των ξένων γυναικών καλλιτεχνών στη σύγχρονη καλλιτεχνική σκηνή της Κύπρου, όχι ως εξωτερικές φωνές αλλά ως αναπόσπαστο μέρος του τοπικού πολιτιστικού ιστού. EN On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Lumiere Contemporary Art Gallery presents CHROMA by Her, a group exhibition bringing together ten women artists from the United States, Sweden, Lebanon, Russia, and England, all living and working in Cyprus. The exhibition is dedicated exclusively to women whose creative practices are rooted in the island, despite their diverse cultural origins. Derived from the Greek word for color, Chroma operates as both a visual and conceptual framework. Color becomes a metaphor for plurality, identity, and emotional resonance, revealing individuality while highlighting points of convergence.
